Born 1961 in Bialystok/Poland.

Jarek Kozakiewicz studied at the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, New York and at the Art Academy in Warsaw, where he completed his dissertation in 1997.

As a sculptor he has realized numerous architectural projects (also landscape architecture) and installations, in which he confronts traditional perceptions of different cultures with contemporary forms and modern creative techniques. He often seeks inspiration in the sciences, including astronomy, physics, genetics and the history of philosophy.

Jarek Kozakiewicz is a participant in the exchange program between Akademie Schloss Solitude and the Center for Contemporary Art, Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw.
