Jay Chung

Born in 1976 in Madison, WI/USA.

Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Berkeley. Master of Fine Arts from Yale University. He also studied the arts at the Staatliche Hochschule für Bildende Künste, Städelschule in Frankfurt a. Main.

Works as an artist, since 2001 in collaboration with Q Takeki Maeda.

Selected exhibitions: First Moscow Biennale (Moscow, 2004), Utopia Station (Haus der Kunst, Munich, 2004), Hyper Style (Loop Galerie, Berlin, 2004), Jay Chung and Q Takeki Maeda (Marc Foxx, Los Angeles, 2004), Utopia Station Poster Project (Venice Biennale, 2003).

Jay Chung and Q Takeki Maeda received a residency fellowship from the IASPIS International Artist´s Studio Programme in Sweden (2005).
