Jean-François Daisy Krebs

Born in Metz/France.

Jean-François Daisy Krebs is a visual artist who’s interdisciplinary practice spans installation, performance, sculpture, video, textile, with a strong interest in light and vegetal life. They studied fine art at Goldsmiths University of London, landscape architecture in Edinburgh College of Art and Ecole Nationale Supérieure du Paysage de Versailles, and horticulture in Ecole du Breuil, Paris. They were part of the Maumaus program in Lisbon and did an exchange with Malmö Art Academy, Sweden. They were a laureate of Fluxus Art Project (2023).

Jean-François has participated in numerous exhibitions, residencies, and research programmes across Europe. In 2026, they joined the research residency Cosmophilosophy for the Arts at AIR351, Portugal, developed in collaboration with Giovanbattista Tusa, Michael Marder, CLAIREFONTAINE, and Alexandre Estrella. Recent projects include the group exhibition Êtres collectifs at Galerie Filles du Calvaire, Paris (2025), and the solo exhibition Plasmatic Joy at Sherbet Green, London (2025). In 2024, they participated in Jour de la Terre at Gaité Lyrique, Paris, co-curated by Centre Wallonie Bruxelles and Prix COAL.

In 2023, Jean-François presented the large-scale installation Guérit-tout as part of the Triennale Art & Industrie in Dunkirk, France. The same year, their work was shown in group exhibitions at Unit 1 Gallery Workshop and Sherbet Green in London, alongside a solo presentation at the Smallest Gallery in Soho, London. In 2022, they exhibited at venues including Ugly Duck, IMT Gallery, Chisenhale Studios, Copeland Park, and Goldsmiths St James Church in London, as well as Galerie Jean-Collet and Jeune Création 72 in France, where their installation Réaction claire received three awards. In 2021, Jean-François took part in the Fondation Martell residency and presented work at Centre Tignous d’Art Contemporain in France, Koraï Project Space in Cyprus, and hArtslane Gallery and Access in London. Their previous exhibitions include the Melle 8th Contemporary Art Biennale, EDVO FIAC 2018, and Fruitmarket Gallery, as well as solo presentations at Galerie du Granit, France, and Umbigo Magazine, Portugal.

Jean-François Daisy Krebs is a fellow of the special fellowship Zwangsarbeit/en – Work Force/d Residencies at Akademie Schloss Solitude.

Zwangsarbeit/en – Work Force/d is a project by Akademie Schloss Solitude and the Coordination Office for Remembrance Culture of the City of Stuttgart, in cooperation with the House of History Stuttgart, the Baden-Württemberg State Agency for Civic Education, and the Stuttgart Working Group on Forced Labor.
