Born 1980 in La Plata/Argentina.

Juan Luis Gastaldi studied political science at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, Rosario/Argentina, philosophy and mathematics at the École normale supérieure in Paris as well as contemporary philosophy at the Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne.

After his studies, he worked as assistant teacher for political science and as lector at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario. Using his pseudonym HIC, he participated in various exhibitions, for instance at Villa Arson, Nice/France. Besides, he participated in the workshop Philosophie & Art Contemporain at Villa Arson.

Juan Luis Gastaldi received the Saint Exupéry scholarship of the Argentinian Ministry of Education and the French Government as well as the PhD fellowship LNS of the Université Michel de Montaigne Bordeaux-III, Bordeaux/France.

Besides his PhD in philosophy at the Université Michel de Montaigne Bordeaux III, he is currently studying mathematics at the Université Paris-VI Pierre et Marie Curie.
