Juliane Beck studied cultural sciences and aesthetic practice at the University of Hildesheim.

She worked as an assistant for performative art projects and was also involved in the coordination of a European theater project at the Staatstheater Stuttgart. Furthermore, she collaborated in different musical projects with young people.

Since 2008, she has been working in several (music theatre) productions as assistant director and dramaturg for among others Falsche Arbeit (Wrong work) by Daniel Kötter/Hannes Seidl, Theaterhaus Stuttgart; Falsche Freizeit (Wrong leisure time) by Daniel Kötter/Hannes Seidl, Sophiensaele Berlin and Freizeit (1) und (3) (Work and leisure time (1) and (3)) by Daniel Kötter, ECLAT Festival für Neue Musik Stuttgart.

Furthermore, she was the assistant producer for the staged exhibition Alles was ich habe #4: Reden (Everything I have #4: Talking) by Herbordt/Mohren at Sophiensaele Berlin.
She is particularly interested in artistic practices which are dealing with public space and its practices of everday life and she enjoys working with interdisciplinary and installation-like art formats.

Juliane Beck lives and works in Berlin.
