Born 1972 in Radolfzell, Germany.

Studied English and German literature at the University of Konstanz (1991-1997). 2003 dissertation on “the ‘human factor’ in modern English literature and aesthetics“.

1999-2002 researcher at the special research department “literature and anthropology” at the University of Konstanz. Since then she has been teaching, holding seminars and lectures (Konstanz, Prague, Jena), with a focus on visuality and modernity. Since 2001 assistance in various projects e.g. Siemens Arts Program or exhibition organisation and book editing at Konstanz University.

During her fellowship at Solitude Karolina Jeftic will focus on the ‘poetology of trauma’ based on texts by Pat Barker. In addition, Karolina Jeftic will participate in the art, science & business project group “visualisation and memory”.
