Laura McLardy is an artist with a background in art theory and publishing, currently based in Berlin/Germany. After gaining a first honours Bachelor degree in fine art and art history at Goldsmiths College in London/UK in 2007, she has continued her artistic research as a participant of the Institut für Raumexperimente, an educational research project led by the artist Olafur Eliasson at the University of Arts Berlin, where she completed her Master in 2012.

She has published an artist book titled If the Inside Is Nothing More than a Fold of the Outside (2011), co-edited several publications, including the book Impossible Topics/Rescued Futures with Prof. Otto E. Rössler’s lectures on chaos theory at the University of Arts Berlin (2011) and the online journal and exhibition Tick (since 2011), and edits the publication series Points in Line, of which the first issue is themed and titled Linear Movement (2012).

Participations in international exhibitions include: Berlin 2000–2011: Playing Amongst the Ruins, Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo/Japan (2011), The Great World Fair – The World Is Not Fair, Tempelhof Airport, Berlin (2012), and Handlungsbereitschaft, Motorenhalle, Dresden (2013). Her latest exhibition Ferrari Amaryllis has opened at Note On Gallery for Gallery Weekend Berlin 2013 at the end of April.

She has been awarded scholarships by the Bernhard-Heiliger-Stiftung and the Goethe Institut.
