She is also the bass player of the bands Las Ruinas Telepáticas and Montón Volador since 2012.

In 2014 she finished The Fabrication of Facts, a solo exhibition resulting from a visit to the National Museum of Natural History in Paris/France in 2013. In 2013 she was invited to participate in the Biennial 43 Salón (inter) Nacional de artistas at the Museo de Antioquia, Medellín/Colombia and developed the solo exhibition Sentimental Journey in Nürnberg/Germany. In 2012 she developed the exhibition project A call that failed as part of her research and apprenticeship in sign painting workshops in Mexico City, Mexico.

In 2012 Lorena Espitia Torres obtained the Nuevas Propuestas prize given by Alliance Francaise.
