Born 1978 in Pafos/Cyprus.

Marios Joannou Elia studied composition with Adriana Hölszky at the University of Music, Theater and Visual Arts Mozarteum in Salzburg/Austria and with Klaus Huber at the University of Music in Basel/Switzerland as well as musicology with Dieter Torkewitz at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
