Mauro Suarez Torrico (*1985, Buenos Aires/Argentina) is an architect, teacher, researcher, and artist living and working between Buenos Aires and Paris/France.
He holds a degree in Architecture from the University of Buenos Aires (2010), a postgraduate specialization in Teaching for Architecture, Design, and Urbanism (2017), and an MA in University Teaching (2022) from the same institution. He is currently a doctoral fellow at the University of Buenos Aires (2023–2025).
His work moves fluidly between architecture, education, research, and artistic practice. Suarez Torrico was artist-in-residence at the Cité internationale des arts in Paris (2023–2024), selected by the Académie d’Architecture, and in the field of architecture at MuseumsQuartier Wien in Vienna/Austria (2024).
He is the author of Pequeña filosofía del taller (Flanbé Ediciones, Buenos Aires, 2022) and most recently published the artist’s book ¿Cuánto pesa un río?, accompanied by a series of lithographic works in collaboration with Le Garage Litho, Paris (2024). His interdisciplinary approach often explores the intersections between material, spatial, and pedagogical thinking.
