Born 1984 in Bremen.

Niklas Seidl studied cello and baroque cello with Prof. Peter Härr at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Leipzig and since 2007 composition with Prof. Claus-Steffen Mahnkopf. In 2007 he studied cello at the Musikuniversität Wien with Prof. Herwig Tachezi.

He played as cellist at the Klangforum Vienna, where he learned from ensemble recherche, Andreas Lindenbaum, Lucas Fels and Rohan de Saram as well as Wien Modern as composer and performer.

Since 2005 he composes experimental radio plays, which recently have been perfomed at Hörspielsommer Leipzig, Buchmesse Leipzig, Hörspielsommer Berlin and ARD Online Wettbewerb.
