Born in 1976, in Rüsselsheim / Germany. 

Peter Müller currently works in the field of video/installation and in a social philosophy perspective on questions regarding mass media aesthetics and the materiality of society in audio visual domains.

He studied visual arts at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach am Main in Germany and at the University of Cape Town in South Africa.

Peter Müller held a visiting scholar position in the Comparative Media Studies program of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the USA, and a researcher position in the Fine Art Department of Jan van Eyck Academie Maastricht in the Netherlands. Peter Müller received travel grants from the German Academic Exchange Service (South Africa/North America) and the Hessische Kulturstiftung (Japan and Ireland).

He is pursuing his doctorate as a member of the DFG-Graduiertenkolleg »Visbility and Visualisation« at University of Potsdam, Germany, about the aspect ratio of 16:9 as an aesthetic regime.
