Born 1974 in Brcko (Bosnia Herzogovina).

She studied art history and Italian at the University of Stuttgart (1998-2005) and wrote her thesis on the photographer and filmmaker Robert Frank.

In 2005 Sabina Husicic assisted the artistic director of the Künstlerhaus Stuttgart as coordinator for selected projects, including the video installation „The Imposter in the Waiting Room“ by the Raqs Media Collective, a cooperation with the Theater der Welt Festival 2005. In the spring of 2005 she worked a artistic director for the exhibition „Welt-Kinderbilder-Ausstellung“ presented at the Schauspielhaus Stuttgart in cooperation with UNICEF.

As a fellow for art coordination, Sabina Husicic will curate the exhibitions at the Akademie project space in the Römerstraße, including „Die Römer kommt“ (a cooperation with the Baden-Württemberg Art Foundation) and the „Lange Nacht der Museen“ (the annual Long Night of the Museums). In addition, she will coordinate the events for the annual summer fest and will be in charge of editing and coordinating the eighth yearbook of Akademie Schloss Solitude.

Sabina Husicic will also initiate an exchange with the young Bosian art scene (BARAKE, Sarajevo) and coordinate a several-week long project in Sarajewo with fellows of Akademie Schloss Solitude.
