Born 1980 in Berlin/Germany.

Shintaro Miyazaki studied media science and musicology at the University of Basel, Basel/Switzerland, at Technische Universität Berlin and at the Humboldt University of Berlin. Between 2008 and 2011, he was a fellow of the cogito foundation that supports the dialog between humanities and scientists. He is the author of several scientific papers such as »Das Algorhythmische. Microsounds als zei(t)kritische Schwellenphänomene zwischen Sounds und Rhythmen« (The algorithmic. Microsounds as time-critical threshold phenomenons between sounds and rhythms) in: Volmar, Axel, (ed.): Zeitkritische Medien, Kadmos Kulturverlag, Berlin (2009), pp. 383–396. Besides his scientific work, Shintaro Miyazaki works as a media and sound artist. He presented his work in numerous exhibitions such as the ISEA conference Ruhr 2010, the Science Gallery in Dublin/Ireland, the Atmosphere 2011 in Winnipeg/Canada and at Wien Modern, Vienna (Austria). Shintaro Miyazaki was a guest lecturer for media theory and operative media analysis at the Institut für Musikwissenschaft und Medienwissenschaft of the Humboldt University of Berlin. Currently, Shintaro Miyazaki is working on his PhD at the Humboldt University of Berlin.
