Simon Lamunière

Born 1961 in Geneva. Studied at the Ecole Superieure d´Art Visuel in Geneva 1983-88.

Grants: Bourse Federale des Beaux-Arts 1987 und 1989; Bourse Lissignol-Chevalier de Geneve 1988; Bourse Patino 1990.

1996 professor for video history at the Ecole Cantonale d´Art in Lausanne, since 1998 professor for Internet at the Schule für Gestaltung in Basle. After having been scholarship holder 1991-92, he became the first former fellow to serve as juror for the Akademie Schloss Solitude (1996-97 for Video/Film/New Media). 1996-98 internet/CD-rom director and curator at the documenta X in Kassel.
