Born 1978 in Rome/Italy.

Simone De Iacobis works and lives in Warsaw/Poland. He is a member of the design group Centrala. He studied architecture in Rome, where he graduated in 2007 and attended a two-year program of a basic and advanced course of photography.

He participated in several exhibitions including La città eventuale at the Fotografia Festival Internazionale di Roma (2005), Oriented at Urhahn Urban Design, Amsterdam/Netherlands, and collaborated with STAR, strategies + architecture, Rotterdam/Netherlands as well as with studiometrico, Milan/Italy. He joined CENTRALA in 2010. His photographical works are published in MONU, CityVision, and in The Glory of the City. He is the co-author of Oskar Hansen. Open Form, research by exhibitions design at the MACBA Barcelona, Spain (2015), and at the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art in Porto/Portugal (2015).

Simone de Iacobis works as a lecturer at many workshops for architectural students and a blogger. He further is the co-designer of numerous interiors, structures, exhibitions, and projects for stimulating reflection on urban spaces.

He is the winner of awards and distinctions in architectural and photographic competitions.

Simone De Iacobis is a fellow within the exchange program between Akademie Schloss Solitude and the Center for Contemporary Art, Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw, with financial support by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute.
