Born in Heidelberg/Germany in 1990.

Theresa Schlesinger is a dramaturg, currently living and working in Bremen/Germany.

She studied Theater and History in Berlin/Germany (BA) and Dramaturgy at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg/Germany (MA).

From 2015 to 2017 she worked as a dramaturgy assistant at Schaubühne Berlin, since 2019 she is permanently engaged at Theater Bremen. She regularly collaborates with directors Felix Rothenhäusler, Elsa-Sophie Jach, Alize Zandwijk and the artist Belle Santos, among others.

With REVUE. Über das Sterben der Arten (director: Felix Rothenhäusler, Bremen 2021) she was nominated as dramaturg of the year in the annual issue of Theaterheute. The work was also part of the festival Heidelberger Stückemarkt 2021.

Together with Dr. Ferdaouss Adda, she curated After Tomorrow, a discourse series at Theater Bremen that explored diverse and sustainable futures in the form of theme days based on focal points such as classism, feminism, (anti)racism, as well as global species extinction (2019–2022).

In 2021 and 2023, she was the artistic co-director of the OUTNOW! Festival Bremen. In 2018, she participated as a fellow at the International Forum at the Berliner Festspiele’s Theatertreffen and since 2021 she has a teaching position at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg, where she teaches Dramaturgy as an Art Form.
