Born 1991 in Sofia/Bulgaria.
Tsvetomira Borisova lives and works in Sofia/Bulgaria. She holds a B.A. in ceramics from New Bulgarian University in Sofia (2016). As a visual artist working primarily with ceramics, drawing, and text, she explores the relationships between individuals and their surroundings, focusing on themes such as alienation, escapism, and intimacy.
Her recent projects include the solo exhibition A Hot Day at Lo3eto, Vetren Dol/Bulgaria (2026); the group exhibition Lignes de Désir at CAIRN – Centre d’Art, Digne-les-Bains/France (2025); and the project The Perspirationalists, presented at Sofia City Art Gallery (2024). In 2025, she was an artist-in-residence at Residency Unlimited in New York City/USA, and later that year participated in the sculpture residency program at Résidences Rocabella in Le Pradet/France.
In 2024, Borisova received the Bulgarian Young Visual Artists Award (BAZA) for The Perspirationalists.
In 2026, Tsvetomira Borisova is a fellow at Akademie Schloss Solitude as part of the Solitude Exchange Network, in cooperation with Atelietata in Plovdiv and the Goethe-Institut Bulgaria.
