art, science & business

With a focus on art, science & business, Akademie Schloss Solitude promotes the transdisciplinary dialogue between these fields in a unique way. Since 2002, the program has offered a space for encounters between people from a wide variety of backgrounds and enables critical reflection. Behind the program art, science & business is the conviction that these practical areas, despite their differences, should be understood as complementary fields of knowledge, which together form the basis for new thinking and action. With this focus, the Akademie is committed to opposing the institutional limitations of scientific and artistic work and to an open exchange of knowledge.

Digital Cultures

The program Digital Solitude places its focus on the interrelationship of physical and digital space. Digital Solitude promotes the public visualization and communication of the themes of the Solitude network and digital cultures. Digital Solitude initiates alternative approaches in dealing with digital media and technologies in order to make these effective for transformation processes within our society.

Ecosystems of Knowledge

With the new format entitled »Ecosystems of Knowledge« Akademie Schloss Solitude is initiating a platform for collective work that is developed by groups of fellows around a self-determined topic. In the framework of continuous working sessions, methods of artistic and scientific practices are shared to establish a new understanding of the subject that is being explored. The aim of the format is to develop a variety of transdisciplinary approaches and to learn from each other as a group.
