Awarding of Marie Zimmermann fellowship for dramaturgy

In 2017 the Marie Zimmermann-fellowship will be awarded to the young dramaturg Jeffrey Döring.

In memory of the in 2007 deceased dramaturg and festival curator Marie Zimmermann, Friedrich Schirmer indued, for the first time in April 2008, a fellowship to support young dramaturgs from the German theatre scene. The fellowship includes a two-months stay at Akademie Schloss Solitude. Akademie Schloss Solitude is responsible for the organization and awarding of the fellowship.

In 2017 the fellowship will be awarded to the young dramaturg Jeffrey Döring. After the speech of Elisabeth Schweeger, artistic and managing director of Akademie für Darstellende Kunst, Jeffrey Döring, Anna Gubiani, Elisabeth Schweeger, Friedrich Schirmer and Jean-Baptiste Joly will discuss new ways of dramaturgy with the audience.
