The artist and Solitude fellow Luana Lojić (Pula, Croatia) addresses in her work applied cosmophilia and internet nomadism, among other things. She imagines sensory data as a wide, autonomous, free, chaotic, elastic and promiscuous being, making no hierarchical difference between words and acts, videos, sound sculptures or drawings. Her work is concerned with interpersonal and inter-system relations and the perceptions and materialities surrounding them.
Luana Lojić shares her life with her dog Ulla and constitutes one sixth of the all-female sci-fi art collective Ljubavnice (The Lovers).
WUNDERKAMMER – NATURALIA / ARTIFICIALIA is a temporary, non-commercial project space at the center of Bad Canstatt, which exists separately from pre-established cultural hubs, aiming to bring contemporary art into the public space. As such, it is a counter-model to its historically romanticized original. Drawing from its title, multimedia installations connect a formative part of Western history with aspects of our present. In this context, themes of ecology and nature as well as technological progress, such as AI and virtuality, which are constantly merging into society and culture, are being addressed.
