Like slabs in a snowscape the texts of Maren Kames stick out of a white, sweeping area.

In conjunction with her exhibition at Literaturhaus Stuttgart, the young aouthor will read from her recently published debut Halb Taube Halb Pfau which extends the formal borders of poetry and opens itself up to a multimedia artist book. QR Codes lead to an audio level, with which the book definitely creates its own dimension when writing turns into sound.

In different rooms of Literaturhaus Stuttgart Maren Kames will translate this literary and acoustic composition into an accessible space. Nothing stands alone, everything is connected: text, sound, wall and room. A strong-voiced room, full of humor and sentences, that one would love to spray on every train – or one can find them on the walls of Literaturhaus. The newspaper FAZ writes: »Maren Kames is the new guiding star of poetry in Germany.«

Maren Kames is the first fellow in cooperation with Literaturhaus Stuttgart. Reading and exhibition are the result of her three-month stay at Akademie Schloss Solitude.
