Seven new compositions for countertenor Daniel Gloger are staged to become a cohesive theatre of light. Sound, body, costume and stage set all perform for the audience.

Which element challenges which? Where are the connectors between eye and ear? How does the naked voice sound?

In a multi-layered costume which hides as well as it reveals, the singer moves during the concert through various lit elements. Just as the sound becomes corporeal, so does the light. Movement opens up the space. Fragments of songs by the English composer Henry Purcell frame the specially composed works, provoking associations and harking back to the Baroque fascination with mirrored phenomena, light direction and the rhetoric of sound, all of which are part of this presentation.

The singer exposes himself to the public as does the public to the sound. NACKT is dedicated to the exploration of these relationships. The revelation of the voice throughout the performance moves between the borders of music theatre, installation, concert and performance without deciding for one form or the other. Of particular importance is the multi-dimensional play between listening and viewing or hearing and seeing.
