Duration: Oct 15, 2017

Location: Literaturhaus Stuttgart

The Serbian choreographer Miloš Sofrenović developd an exclusive performance for the festival Herkunftssache at Literaturhaus Stuttgart. He explores how an individual, an artist is able to leave traces in time in the contradictory contexts of heteronomy and autonomous creativity. The basis of his concept is Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World revisited, an essay by Huxley (1958). The second foundation of his choreography is the film Aufzeichnungen zu Kleidern und Städten by Wim Wenders (1989) about the Japanese designer and philosopher Yohji Yamamoto, who revolutionized the fashion world in Paris and New York in the beginning of the 1980ies.

Miloš Sofrenović is a cooperation fellow between Akademie Schloss Solitude and Literaturhaus Stuttgart.

The performance takes place in the framework of the festival Herkunftssache (Matters of Origin) at Literaturhaus Stuttgart.

Admission is free.
