The theme of this year’s summer festival is “What do you do there at the castle” , offering spontaneous presentations and project ideas with precise conditions subject to change. Yet this uncertainty is, as every year, an integral part of the summer festival, a culmination of short-and long-term project ideas by the Akademie’s artists and guests. Nevertheless, cultural enthusiasts and soccer fans alike will get their money’s worth. The program’s highlights will include improvisations by Chris Heenan on the saxophone, a concert by Stephan Hussong (accordion) with Mike Svoboda (trombone), a long-term guest and supporter of the Akademie and the Berlin-based band apel/nuss und pop. Anyone wishing to gain an overview of the Akademie’s manifold projects is also free to purchase the new yearbook, released hot off the press for the summer festival, and peruse it at their leisure.
Drinks and refreshments will be served in the Akademie courtyard, with conversation, entertainment and art in itself dished up everywhere. Welcome to the festival!
