Film release »In Spite of This Drought the Wisdom of a Sprout« on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Akademie Schloss Solitude

Akademie Schloss Solitude is pleased to present the film »In Spite of This Drought the Wisdom of a Sprout«, produced by filmmaker Martin Mannweiler on the occasion of its 30th anniversary. Especially now, when the Corona pandemic clearly shows us that we are in a phase of profound social, ecological and technological change, places like Akademie Schloss Solitude open up important spaces to reflect on the future through artistic means. With its title, developed by the Brazilian graphic designer and Akademie fellow erre erre, the film provides impulses for an optimistic view of the future. At the same time, it offers an insight into the artist residency and introduces some of its fellows. A picture emerges of the diversity that is expressed in the activity in different fields of practice, topics and disciplines. The voices gathered in the film exemplify the internationality that has always been lived at the academy and thus serves as a model for our coexistence.
