Alex Reynolds lives and works in Berlin/Germany. In 2001 she graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London/UK with a degree in Fine Art. In 2010 she began a Master in the same field at Goldsmiths College, London.

In recent years she has produced a series of time-based projects, using elements from the field of cinema to explore the experiential aspect of encountering art, and how a viewer positions him or herself in relation to narrative and to others.

Alex Reynolds’ solo shows and site-specific projects include Spinario (2012) at the Joan Miró Foundation in Barcelona/Spain, But They Are Not You (2012) at MobileArtProduction (MAP) in Stockholm/Sweden (2012), and We Can Hear You Drink (2011) at BcnProducció ’11, Barcelona. Her work has been included in group exhibitions such as A Trip to the Moon. Before and After Film at Bonniers Konsthall in Stockholm (2012), and screenings (at galleries and events) such as Pre-Historique, Les Rencontres Internationales, Jeu de Paume, in Paris/France; and MNCARS in Madrid/Spain (2010).

She received a residency grant from IASPIS (Stockholm) in 2011, and was recently commissioned a new sound work by National Public Art Council in Sweden for the Music and Theatre Library of Sweden.
