Anna Gschnitzer

Born 1986 in Innsbruck/Austria.

Anna Gschnitzer writes theater texts and prose. She studied comparative literature at the University of Vienna, Austria and at Université de Provence Aix-Marseille I, France as well as language art at the University of Applied Arts Vienna.

Anna Gschnitzer is co-founder of theaterkollektiv bureau and member of the artist group Studio Furio. Her plays are staged at, amongst others, Theater Rampe in Stuttgart/Germany, at Garage X in Vienna, at Theater unterm Dach in Berlin/Germany, and at Hamburger Sprechwerk, Germany.

In 2011 she was awarded the jury prize of the newcomer competition »Töchter und Söhne« at Theater Drachengasse for her play Outperform Yourself: Treten Sie Sich Ein, together with bureau. In 2014 she was awarded with the Wiener Dramatik Stipendium and a scholarship of Literar-Mechana, Vienna.

Anna Gschnitzer is a fellow in cooperation with Theater Rampe in Stuttgart.
