From March 11–14, 18–20 and April 2–4 at 8 p.m. Solitude fellow Anna Gschnitzer’s new play Modellsimulation mit Pfau will be presented in Fluxus (Calwer Passage). Together with director Marie Bues and ensemble, a site-specific play for private and public space evolves, which simulates in the Fluxus of Calwer Passage in Stuttgart a future city situated between individualism and community, consumption and art, investors and young creatives.
Over the course of two months Anna Gschnitzer worked on her third production Modellsimulation mit Pfau, which premiered on March 7 in Fluxus (Calwer Passage). Inspired by Stuttgart’s architecture and city life, the play deals with the relation of power and (urban) space formed by territorial strategies and concepts of authority that compete against each other to gain influence, representation and expression. Modellsimulation mit Pfau evokes these places in order to find out which models, forms of representation, and ideologies take effect, and how people move and inscribe themselves in them. The stage setting in Fluxus is consciously chosen as it highlights the problems of strategies for temporary use in public and private space in Stuttgart. An in depth interview between the playwriter and Marte Kräher can be read on Akademie Schloss Solitude Blog.
