Anna Janko

Born 1957 in Rybnik/Poland.

Studied Polish philology at the University of Gdansk.

Since 1997 poetry editor for the Polish publisher Proszynski & Co. Pen Club member.

Numerous publications since 1977. Literary contributions for magazines and radio.

Her writings have been published in the anthologies „New Polish Poems” (Cologne, 1988), „Polish Eroticism” (Karl Dedecius), „Panorama of Polish Literature of the 20th century” (Ammann Publishers, 1996).

Participation in the German-Polish Literature Meeting „Poetry Steam Boat” (1985,1996,1997,1998).

Numerous prizes in Poland. 1993 Prize of the Independent Association of Writers in Dresden.
