Born 1981 in Frankfurt (Oder)/Germany.

From 2001 to 2008 Bettina Lehmann studied art history, Polish studies and comparative literature at the University in Leipzig (Magistra Artium art history 2008). During this time she studied for a few months, art history and polish studies, at the Jagiellonen-University in Krakow and art history and Jewish history at the University in Warsaw.

In 2006, she co-founded the artist residency blumen in Leipzig to give international young artists the chance to work in the city for several months. From 2008 to 2010 Bettina Lehmann coordinated the international artistic- and cultural programs in the municipal galleries in Osijek/Croatia as part of the scholarship program Kulturmanager aus Mittel- und Osteuropa [cultural managers from Central and Eastern Europe] of the Robert Bosch Foundation.

In addition to a range of internships in several cultural institutions, she translates articles and theatre plays from Polish into German.
