Born 1955 in Arad/Romania.
The artist duo subREAL was founded by Calin Dan and Josif Király in Bucharest/Romania in 1990.
The group belongs to a young Romanian artists’ generation, which, after the political changes of 1989, took the first steps towards catching up with Western artistic developments. subREAL combines the medium of installation and environment with styles of action art and happening. subREAL has participated in numerous exhibitions, but above all they have promoted their own projects since 1993:Draculaland 1 – 3b, Bodies in Motion, How to Change Your Wall Paper Daily, What Does a Project Mean?
