Clara Herrmann studied modern German literature and law (BA) at the University of Konstanz, Konstanz/Germany (2003–2007) and modern German literature (MA) at the Freie Universität Berlin, Berlin/Germany (2007–2010). In 2009 she studied abroad at the German department of the University College London, London/UK.

She is a trained cultural manager and in 2013 she finished her master’s degree in cultural management and cultural tourism at the European University Viadrina, Frankfurt (Oder)/Germany, parallel to employment, with a thesis in the field of new media. During her studies she worked at the Friedrich Schlegel graduate school of literary studies at the Freie Universität Berlin (2008–2010) and was an intern at several private cultural institutions, including the publishing company Vitalis, Prague/Czech Republic (2006), the Hannah-Barry-Gallery, London (2009) and the communication agency Sally Below Cultural Affairs, Berlin (2011).

As PR and press coordinator she co-organised the music festival Cosy Concerts in 2012 and 2013. At last she was student assistant at the proofreading department of ZEITONLINE and worked as freelance editor (2011–2013). Since 2013 she is freelance editor at the society magazine REVUE-Magazine for the Next Society, Berlin.
