Cristina Toth Sydow studied international relations at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo and business economics at the Fundação Getulio Vargas, São Paulo.

After her studies, she worked as consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, IBM Global Business Services, and as teacher of introductory economics and international trade at Centro Universitário FMU in São Paulo.

Cristina Toth Sydow also participated in several projects such as the Territorial Associationism Research Project in São Paulo. She was the co-author of the technical book Metropolis Governance/Governança das Metrópoles and published »The New Role of China«, in: FGV Cenários magazine, São Paulo.  

Currently, Cristina Toth Sydow is working on her PhD in public administration and public policies at the Fundação Getulio Vargas.
