Born 1978 in Brooklyn, NY/USA.

Studied at New York University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in photography from the Tisch School of the Arts.

Works as a freelance photojournalist since 1997. 2001-2003 he was the Southeast Asian Bureau Chief based in Indonesia and Singapore for the New York Amsterdam News. He reported on the Bali nightclub bombings and the 2003 anti-war demonstrations.

His credits include: The Associated Press, The United Nations Development Program, The Wall Street Journal, Time Asia, The Far Eastern Economic Review, The Source and New York Magazine. His photographs were featured in the monograph: “Black: A Celebration of Culture” (2003).

Selected projects: “Post Genocide Rwanda” (documentation of the recovery of Rwanda through images after the 1994 genocide and of how the criminal justice system treated children accused of genocide, 1999-2004), “The Europeans” (a long-term photographic documentary examining the changes in Europe in the expanding European Union, since April 2005).
