Danielle Adair received her bachelor’s degree in visual arts and human development with distinction at the University of Chicago, Chicago, IL/USA. In 2007, she finished her master studies in visual arts and creative writing at the California Institute of the Arts, Valencia, CA/USA.

Furthermore, Danielle Adair received several fellowships, among others the California Community Foundation Fellowship for Visuel Arts (2010) and a fellowship of the Digital Arts Studios, Belfast/Northern Ireland (2010).

In 2013, she received a cooperation fellowship of the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart (Studio für Stimmkunst und Neues Musiktheater) and Akademie Schloss Solitude, which encompasses a three month stay at the Akademie.
