Born 1969 in Steinfurt (Germany).

Study of German literature and philosophy in Kiel and Düsseldorf.

1993-96 assistant at the Heinrich-Heine-Institut in Düsseldorf.

1994-96 lectureships in creative writing.

Publication of poems in numerous magazines. Numerous publications, including the poetry volume “Vorläufige Gegenwart” (Düsseldorf, 1995).”Fliegende Schatten” (Edition Solitude 1999); Aerobic und Gegenliebe, Grupello Publishers (2001); Im Atemweg des Passagiers, Wallstein Publishers (2006).

Co-editor of “Ich liebe das Leben”, Heinrich Heine anthology (Frankfurt, 1997).

Recipient of the Erster Düsseldorfer Lyrikpreis (1995) and grants from the City of Düsseldorf (1996, 1997). 1999 participation at the poetry contest Leonce-und-Lena prize and grant of the Künstlerdorf Schöppingen. 2000 recipient of the Clemens-Brentano-Price together with Oswald Egger. 2003 Dresden Poetry Prize.
