Kairos Quartett

Wolfgang Bender, violin (born 1963); Chatschatur Kanajan, violin (born 1971); Simone Heilgendorf, viola (born 1961); Claudius von Wrochem, violoncello (born 1965). Founded in 1995 as „work in progress quartett” and as of 1996 performances as Kairos Quartett. Main repertoire: 20th century composers after 1950 and young contemporary composers. Performances at the International Summer Courses for New Music in Darmstadt in 1996 and 1998. Productions for Hessian Radio (HR), Bavarian Radio (BR) and Deutschlandradio. Concerts with works by Mundry, Kurtág, Cage and Feldman in 1996/1997. 1996 Kranichstein Scholarship. 1997 commission for the Berlin Senate.
