Born 1970 in Darmstadt/Germany.

She studied architecture at the FHT Stuttgart (1995 diploma), at the École d´architecture et de paysage de Bordeaux (1993) and at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London (Master of Architecture 1998 with distinction, class of Professor Peter Cook).

Since 1999 she has taught at the architecture department (chair of Professor Klaus Kada) of the Rheinisch-Westfälischen Technische Hochschule Aachen.

She is a partner of the architecture office Damrau Kusserow Architekten, Cologne.

Guest critic at the Bartlett School of Architecture, London and at the TU Darmstadt. She taught experimental design at the architecture department of the Fachhochschule Düsseldorf (2003) and had teaching positions at the architecture department of the Fachhochschule Aachen (2004, 2005).

Publications include: Unschärferelationen/Experiment Raum; Beiträge zu einer erweiterten Raumdiskussion (Blurring relations/experiment space; contributions to an expanded discussion on space), editors: Karin Damrau, Anton Markus Pasing, Nelte Publishers, Wiesbaden, 2002. The publication of Beyond Solidity with the Wilycil Publishers, Wiesbaden is planned for 2006.

In 1997 she received a DAAD graduate fellowship for studies in Great Britain.
