Born 1982 in Frankfurt Oder/Germany.

From 2002 to 2006 Karoline Weber studied cultural studies at the Europa Universität Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany (BA 2006), and passed a semester abroad at the Universidad de Buenos Aires (2004/2005). She completed her Masters degree 2010 at the Bauhaus Universität Weimar in the Department of Media Culture.

She received a scholarship from the Bauhaus Universität Weimar and from 2008 till 2009 she was a research student in the doctorate program Mediale Historiographien of the Universities Erfurt, Weimar and Jena.

From 2009 to 2010 Karoline Weber was a research assistant at the Internationales Kolleg für Kulturtechnikforschung und Medienphilosophie (IKKM) (International Research Institute for Cultural Technologies and Media Philosophy) in Weimar and worked as an assistant editor of Zeitschrift für Medien- und Kulturforschung (ZMK) (Journal of Media and Cultural Research). Previously, she had worked for the book edition Friedrich Nietzsche, Kritische Gesamtausgabe (KGW IX).

In addition to other course-related internships in various cultural institutions, in 2006, Karoline Weber completed an internship in the photo editing department of ZEIT Magazin LEBEN and worked in the project management of the international exhibition Backjumps – The Live Issue 2 (Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien, Berlin).
