Kota Ezawa

Born 1969 in Cologne.

Studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Düsseldorf; Bachelor of Art at the San Francisco Art Institute; Master of Fine Arts at the Stanford University.

Visiting professor for Media Arts at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco.

Selected solo exhibitions: “On Photography” (Santa Monica Museum of Art, 2005). Selected group exhibitions: “California Biennale 2004” (Orange County Museum of Art, Newport Beach, California, 2004), “Shanghai Biennale 5,” (Shanghai Art Museum, 2004), “Premieres” (The Museum of Modern Art, New York, 2005).

Received an award from the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation (2003).
