Born in 1975 in Manchester/Great Britain.

Iddon studied composition and musicology at the universities of Durham and Cambridge with Fabrice Fitch and Robin Holloway (composition) and John Butt and Ian Cross (musicology). After receiving his doctoral degree in 2004, he lectured at Lancaster University.

Selected pieces: »ventilation« for six singers and glass harmonica (2007); »…à son dernier soupir« for string trio (2006); »widow and orphan« for ensemble (2003).

Iddon is also the author of numerous articles and book chapters, focussing in particular on the history of the Darmstadt New Music Courses.
