Born 1966 in Singerei/Moldavia.

Studied at the School of Art in Kishinev and at the Interior Design Department of the Moldavian State Institute of Art.

1995-96 Coordinator of the visual art program at the Open Society Institute in Chisinau. Since 1996 first director of SCCA (Soros Center for Contemporary Art) in Chisinau. Currently working as a project director at the KSA:K (Centru pentru arta contemporana), formerly SCCA, in Chisinau and on a project for the magazine “MARTA International”.

Produced exhibitions and events, including: “Unfortunately last Sunday afternoon somebody left the door open…” (Maastricht/Netherlands, Sittard/Moldavia, 2000-01), “Gioconda’s Smile, from mythic to techno ritual” (Performance Festival, 1998),”Kilometrul 6″ (1st annual exhibition of SCCA Chisinau, 1996). Publication of catalogues from those events.

1998-2000 Unesco Aushberg scholarship for studying in the Theory Department at the Jan Van Eyck Academy in Maastricht, Netherlands.
