Robyn Schulkowsky is a musician, composer and creative director. She graduated from the University of Iowa/USA with a bachelor’s degree in music performance and music education as well as the Konzertexamen at Musikhochschule Koeln/Germany. She taught for a while and still teaches today, however has not been affiliated full time with any institution since coming to Europe in 1980.

In the 80s and 90s, she directed the percussion project Robyn Schulkowsky and collaborated with many composers at a wide range of different European festivals of contemporary music. She also directed and curated Drumming parts one and two in Munich/Germany, and Drumm Summit at Bundeskunsthalle Bonn/Germany.

Upcoming projects include a premier at the Lucerne Festival Academy, a piece for »500 Years Maximilian« in Innsbruck/Austria in June and open-air work with a percussion orchestra in Ghent/Belgium.
