Born in Wuppertal, 1964.

He studied modern German literature, history of arts and theatre sciences, among others at the University of Munich. For his master’s degree, he presented a paper on “Das Eigene und das Fremde im Werk Peter Handkes”.

He was an assistant producer with Frank Castorf, Andres Kriegenburg, Jeremy Weller in Berlin (Deutsches Theater and Volksbühne).

From 1992 to 1995, he has worked as a producer at the Volksbühne and was the artistic director of the homeless people’s theatre company Ratten.

Since 1995, he has been working as an independent producer and fine artist.

His works include numerous performances and interventions, most recently Woyzeck – Bin ich ein Mensch? Volksbühne (1995), Lösung, Losung Trallala, “Rock Art”, Tuchfabrik Trier (1996) and Hotel Europa , Happening at the Villa Piccolomini, Rome (1996).

He has received the Special Prize for performing arts of the Berlin Art Award.
