Sabine von Fischer studied at the Swiss Federal Institute for Technology in Zurich and at Columbia University in New York.

Selected projects: Blur (2. prize the 2G international competition of the Mies van der Rohe Foundation, Barcelona, 1998), Collective (competition entry for a secondary school in Liechtenstein, 2000), Ricefield Origami (project for low income housing in Japan, 2001), Timewall (stage design for Time Remaining, contemporary dance performance by Gina Gibney Dance Company New York, 2002), Interactive Normalization (solo exhibition at the Gallery of Science and Technology, Belgrade, 2002), Rubber Bar (bar, info, surveillance & mediatheque built for the Swiss Institute, New York, 2003), Die Überschneidung einiger Grenzen (installation, Stuttgart, 2004), sonic barriers (installation, Basel, 2004).

Ochs fellowship for visual artists, Degen fellowship of the ETHZ, SATW fellowship for emerging scientists. Publications of various essays and short stories. From 1998–2003 she worked together with Srdjan Jovanovic Weiss as the »normal group for architecture« (www.normalgroup.net), later on as »architecture agency«.
