Siliva Rosani studied composition in Udine/Italy with Renato Miani and at the Mozarteum University Salzburg/Austria with Reinhard Febel. Furthermore, she studied electronical engeneering at the University of Trieste/Italy. She participated in several composition masterclasses with Klaus Huber, Juan López López, José Camarero, Brice Pauset, Vladimir Tarnopolski, Beat Furrer, and Salvatore Sciarrino.

Her compositions have been presented on an international level by various ensembles (ÖENM, Zahir Ensemble and Neuen Vocalsolisten Stuttgart). In 2010, La Nube e Issione won the first price in the composition competition Vocal Arts and was presented during the Biennale in Salzburg.

Silvia Rosani also works with electronical music and created her first piece for live electronics in 2010. She is an experienced choir director (Vox Nova Tergeste Vocal Ensemble, choir of the University of Trieste, choir of the lutheran community Trieste). She was invited to collaborate with the Neue Vokalsolisten within the project »Mediterranean Voices«. She re-wrote her composition »T-O« for five voices which was then performed by the Neue Vokalsolisten at the festival ECLAT 2014 in Stuttgart/Germany.

In 2013/2014, Silvia Rosani received a cooperation fellowship of Musik der Jahrhunderte and Akademie Schloss Solitude. She is currently studying for a PhD in Composition at Goldsmiths College, University of London.
