Stefanie Stegmann

Born 1974 in Lübbecke/Germany.

Stefanie Stegmann studied German language and literature and visual arts for teacher accreditation and received her PhD in cultural gender studies at the Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg/Germany. She worked as an editor at the University of Czernowitz/Ukraine through the German Academic Exchange Service from 2003 to 2005. From 2005 to 2013, she was head of the Literaturbüro Freiburg/Germany, where she initiated the creation of a new Literaturhaus, opened 2017 in Freiburg by her successor. She has been head of the Literaturhaus Stuttgart/Germany since 2014.
