Born 1984 in Recklinghausen/Germany.

Charlotte Warsen studied painting in the class of Tal R at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf/Germany and English in Cologne/Germany and Joensuu/Finland (2004–2010). Her first poetry collection, vom speerwurf zu pferde, was published by Luxbooks in 2014. From 2015–2018, she worked on the project »Kulturtechnik Malen« with Meret Kupczyk and Ludger Schwarte as a research associate. The anthology of the same name was published in 2019.

In 2016, Warsen won the GWK-Förderpreis Literatur, followed by the Wolfgang-Weyrauch-Preis in 2019. She has received fellowships from the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung, the Berlin Senate and the Stiftung Preußische Seehandlung. Her second poetry collection, Plage, was published by kookbooks in autumn 2019. She currently teaches at a school in Berlin/Germany and is pursuing a PhD in philosophy on the politics of painting.
