Sunette L. Viljoen received her MFA from the University of Cape Town’s Michaelis School of Fine Art/South Africa (2012) and attended the Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht/Netherlands in 2014.

Recently, her work has been shown at the Gallery Momo in Cape Town, SAVVY Contemporary, Berlin/Germany, the 13th Dakar Biennale, Dakar/Senegal, Manière Noire, Berlin, Schloss Plüschow, Plüschow/Germany, Hotel Maria Kapel, Hoorn/The Netherlands and Project Probe, Arnhem/The Netherlands. She was a fellowship recipient at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig in Braunschweig/Germany(2013), and artist-in-residence at both Villa Ruffieux, Sierre/Switzerland (2018) and the Centro Cultural Andratx, Mallorca/Spain (2015).
